Amentum is supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in providing specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division's International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP). https://www.justice.gov/criminal-icitap.

ICITAP is a cornerstone of America's global strategy for combating transnational crime, terrorism, countering trafficking in persons, establishing rule of law and enhancing human rights in developing countries. Amentum is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Justice's International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (DOJ/ICITAP), in partnership with the Department of State's Bureau of Counterterrorism (DOS/CT) is implementing the Engaging Multinational Police Women on Equality and Rights Program in Jordan (EMPoWER Jordan), focused on strengthening the counterterrorism operations of partner nations by increasing the participation of women in CT law enforcement units through strategic tactical training; creating information-sharing networks among women and men officers; and leveraging leaders in CT to reinforce the protection of women and girls in CT investigations.

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Program Advisor.

The Program Advisor will assist with training preparation and delivery, ongoing partner country support, high level engagement with specific points of contact, and the organization and execution of trainings.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct high level engagement with specific and relevant points of contact from partner nation, USG, and international partners.
  • Assist with and coordinate training logistics and execution.
  • Contribute to the development of program activities and reporting on outcomes.
  • Assess partner countries' existing capacities for counter terrorism in law enforcement, particularly as it relates to women in law enforcement
  • Drafting after action reports, as well as bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to summarize activities and track progress of the project.
  • Conduct regular TDY travel to partner country for the purpose of mentorship, evaluation, assessment, and equipment donations efforts.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, justice studies, public policy or related field; preferred Master's degree.
  • Fluency in Arabic
  • Minimum ten to fifteen years' experience in law enforcement and counterterrorism, with preferred senior leadership rank.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with partner governments, foreign officials, and international organizations.
  • Knowledge and experience working with capacity building and strategy development in the law enforcement and counter terrorism arena.
  • Experience with conducting trainings and workshops with culturally diverse participants.
  • Proven ability to exercise a high degree of professional judgement and diplomacy at all times.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
  • Clearable: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Public Trust Waiver. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Moderate Public Trust Waiver.
