Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Requirements Engineer with an additional background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering skill sets to join our team! In this role you will get to translate high level requirements into concrete technical requirements for AI systems, bridging the gap between governance principles and practical implementation. The individual will work with various stakeholders to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance.

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Requirements Engineer with an additional background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering skill sets to join our team! In this role you will get to translate high level requirements into concrete technical requirements for AI systems, bridging the gap between governance principles and practical implementation. The individual will work with various stakeholders to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Identify, document, and analyze technical requirements.
- Analyzing and validating the needs of system users.
- Analyze and provide input for activities that fulfill customer capability requirements through participation in cyberspace-related developmental activities across the customer's portfolio.
- Examine, evaluate, and assess each top-level requirement for feasibility of implementation, consistency within program constraints, and its ability to be verified. Identify derived requirements and examine them for consistency with system requirements, feasibility, and the effects of various implementation strategies on functional analysis and allocation.
- When research and development or science and technology organizations have a particular analytic or capabilities that meets customer's unique operational needs, assess capability, mission impact/return on investment, and transition feasibility. Provide recommendation on program or project alignment and recommend milestone plan of action, to include internal and external dependencies, budget, constraints, and risks, necessary to transition analytics/capability.
- Collaborate closely with business and operational stakeholders to understand mission requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Clearly communicate project progress, blockers, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support AI/ML and generative AI projects as needed or required
- Provide non-standard requirements analytics that require the application of specialized skillsets, including artificial intelligence, streaming analytics, behavioral science-based analytics, edge analytics, and analytic infrastructure support.
- Develop and recommend standardized tradecraft approaches for AI/ML capabilities that span the breadth of command missions to enable basic mission groupings combined with AI/ML categorizations to match mission needs based on results of user journey mappings and or AI/ML SME advisors.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related field with 12 years experience or Masters with 10 years experience.
- TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- Atlassian Tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- AI and NLP Knowledge: Deep understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. Familiarity with language model architectures and functionalities.
- Strong creative thinking skills to develop conversational abilities and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working in or alongside the Department of Defense, preferably in operational or strategic-level environments.
- Experience in applying AI techniques to defense-related projects or domains.
Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
