Northrop Grumman Advanced Programs is seeking Sr. Principal Systems Engineer Model-based Systems Engineer (MBSE) This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
  • Use model-based systems engineering practices and tools to design a complex system
  • Provide systems engineering support to the design, integration, and testing/demonstration of the C2 system.
  • Participate in the technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.
  • Perform requirements analysis and develop source data for requirements
  • Collaborate with Program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
  • Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of a large program design.
  • Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
  • Develop system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years of experience with master's degree, or 1 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Must has an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at the time of applications, current and within scope (
  • Requires experience in creating, updates, and maintaining model-based systems engineering products in Cameo
  • Requires prior program milestone execution experience, including but not limited to Systems Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience on large scale/complex system development across multiple phases of a development program, specifically demonstration and testing.
  • Experience in team environments with technical leadership responsibilities.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
