Logistics Specialist

Two Six is growing and we are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Arlington, VA.

As a Logistics Specialist you will support Two Six Technologies' receiving and materials functions, ensuring efficient processing, tracking, and delivery of goods. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.

What you will do:

• Centralized Receiving: Accept and log incoming packages, ensuring accuracy in receiving records.
• Barcoding and Tagging: Apply barcodes and asset tags for inventory and tracking purposes.
• Internal Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate distribution of received items to internal end users.
• Freight Dock Coordination: Assist in scheduling and coordinating large shipments with internal teams and suppliers.
• PCARD Reconciliation: Support Buyers' purchasing card (PCARD) transactions by entering data and attaching required documentation.
• Expediting and Supplier Coordination: Partner with Buyers to follow up with suppliers to track and expedite shipments as needed.
• Packing and Shipping: Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging and processing for hardware and other materials.
• Goods Receipt Entry: Perform basic data entry to record the receipt of goods in relevant procurement, property, or inventory systems.
• Returns and Exchanges: Facilitate returns or exchanges by coordinating between internal teams and vendors.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, procurement, logistics, or a related administrative experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors
• Ability to lift and move packages as required for receiving and distribution tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel between local company locations: Herndon VA and Laurel MD

Nice to Have:

• Experience with inventory or procurement systems Software that could be utilized in the role includes Envoy, SAP Ariba, Snipe IT, Unanet, Assetworks EQUIP, Atlassian, and other internal work management tools.
• Experience supporting engineering laboratory environments, this may include shipping requirements for electronics including small components to bulky, high-value hardware
• Experience working with federal-related requirements such as government property

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$59,400 - $75,000 USD
