TQI Solutions is seeking an End-Device Technician - Junior to support Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY). In this role, you will develop your skills in end-user device management, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and deployment of new end-user devices, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
• Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, including tracking device assignments and ensuring proper disposal of outdated equipment.
• Respond to helpdesk tickets and user inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions to technical issues.
• Document all support activities, configurations, and resolutions in the ticketing system to maintain comprehensive records.
• Work closely with senior IT staff to assist in larger projects and initiatives, gaining exposure to various aspects of IT operations.
Requirements:
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification; willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or IT certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
• ServiceNow ticket management experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software components.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• This position may require occasional night, weekend or holiday support
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Candidates must be eligible for a background investigation.
