POSITION SUMMARY

Aleut is seeking experienced professionals to support multiple staff positions within Mission Delta 3 and Space Operations Command (SpOC) in Colorado Springs, CO. These critical roles provide high-level support to U.S. Space Force missions, requiring technical expertise and staff-level operational experience. Personnel will provide subject matter expertise across planning, operations, and strategy; support operational readiness and capability development; collaborate with leadership at Mission Delta 3 and SpOC and engage in high-impact work supporting U.S. Space Force missions.

This position will coordinate, document, track and collaborate capabilities and knowledge transfer to capitalize on technology advancements in support of USSF priorities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Support the delivery, operational transition, sustainment, and disposition of advanced concepts capabilities to include S&T, demonstrations, RRC, and prototypes.
  • Review / Staff Operating Concepts and System Concepts; follow-on buy decisions, ILS/sustainment planning and establishment, and system disposal planning; developing Operational/Transitional Acceptance criteria and recommendations.
  • Provide technical streamlined development, acquisition, testing, operational acceptance for delivering S&T, demonstrations, Rapid Reaction Capabilities, and prototypes.
  • Prepare leadership for senior joint and service meetings, testimony, and Congressional inquiries, supporting Space Superiority missions, advanced concepts, and planning.
  • Review and provide technical expertise and recommendations as part of the technical operational transition process for new capabilities provided by S&T, RCO, and SPO.
  • Assist in conducting capability reviews with USSC, USSF, HAF, SpOC, SSC and Deltas.
  • Develop, support, and coordinate basing and bed-down activities involving new and deployable capabilities to include conducting site surveys, SOFAs and other agreements.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for Special Technical Operations (STO) planning/processes for employment of mission capabilities supporting multiple CCMDs.
  • Manage development, acquisition, and fielding of capabilities to meet urgent operational needs and assist in the DOTMLPF planning for next-generation capabilities.
  • Organize/support required meetings: Combat-Force Proponent-Fielding Process (CFP-FP), ICT, Operational Transitional Planning Teams (OTPT), Rapid Fielding of Warfighter Capabilities, and the Responsive OAP.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE
  • Seven or more years working in acquisitions and/or operations capacities, preferably with SDA/EW mission systems.
  • Five or more years working with any military HQ Staff, preferably that operated in support of current and future SDA/EW mission areas.
  • Knowledge of SpOC space superiority units/missions/weapon systems.
  • Proficiency with SpOC acquisition/requirements/PPBE organizations/processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This is an onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.
  • Indoor office working conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive keyboard tasks and associated motions for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to carry up to 10 pounds.

SALARY RANGE
  • $121,000.00 -- $141,000.00 (annual) depending on qualifications
