Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Logistics Specialist to support the Logistics Section Chief in managing administrative tasks, maintaining records, and prioritizing critical information during emergency operations. This position plays a key role in supporting the operational flow of logistics by ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication during incident activations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Logistics Section Chief with administrative and clerical duties
  • Maintain detailed and organized records related to logistics operations
  • Acquire, prioritize, and distribute information to appropriate personnel
  • Take accurate and timely notes during meetings and briefings
  • Support logistics documentation and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to streamline logistics support
  • Track supply movement, personnel logistics, and related activity logs
  • Contribute to after-action reports and logistical process reviews

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a logistics, administrative, or emergency management support role
  • Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-tempo, high-pressure environments
  • Familiarity with ICS and emergency logistics procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics tracking tools
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting logistics during emergency activations
  • Knowledge of FEMA logistics operations and reporting standards
  • Background in warehouse, transportation, or supply chain coordination
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)
  • Relocation Assistance: Not applicable
  • Clearance Required: None
  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

The usual work environment is an office or logistics center setting determined by assignment. Extended work hours beyond 12 hours per day may be required. Travel includes locations throughout the continental United States and its territories, often in support of emergency response or recovery missions.
