Duties

  • You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance and similar information readily available from files.
  • You will screen and maintain control records for incoming and outgoing correspondence, publications, regulations and directives for the office.
  • You will receive visitors and telephone calls to the office, determines the nature of requests and directs callers to appropriate staff, or personally provides the information desired when routing or procedural matters of the office are involved.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and screening incoming correspondence, prepares and reviews outgoing correspondence and establishes controls for suspense dates; 2) Performing timekeeping functions, reviewing and ensuring all timesheets are properly coded and sighed prior to data entry; 3) Preparing and submitting funding documents, maintains contacts with local and regional staff and suppliers to obtain items to meet requirements of the department for routine and special items.
