Join Our Team as a Business Development Manager - Drive Innovation with Impact
We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and solution design. If you have a knack for crafting compelling content, building winning proposals, and shaping strategic pursuits-especially in the realm of advanced software systems-this role is for you.

As a key member of our Business Development team, you'll help define and drive GA-I3's growth strategy, identifying and capturing new business with key customers across the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Foreign Governments, and Commercial sectors.

  • Hands-on experience responding to U.S. Government solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, BAAs, IDIQs, SBIRs, OTAs).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and execute business development strategies from opportunity identification to capture, partnering with internal teams on win themes and client engagement.
  • Develop tailored content including proposals, white papers, strategic plans, and executive-level briefings that align with client missions and organizational goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational program design, execution, and reporting aligned to business capture efforts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work with engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex technical solutions into mission-relevant, easy-to-understand narratives.
  • Domain Expertise: Develop domain expertise for our customers through internal discussions, reading of solicitations, and external research.
  • Compliance & Proposal Structuring - Ensure all proposal content aligns with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR, DFARS) and follows Sections L & M of solicitations.
  • Develop content that showcases GA-I3's technical superiority, successful past performance, and mission impact.
  • Proposal Process Support - Assist in proposal planning, schedules, color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold), compliance matrices, and final production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business development processes, building out reusable content for future business development efforts, staying up to date with industry trends, best practices in technical writing and proposal management, and company technical goals/vision.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters in business administration or a related field and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in business development. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
    • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on software systems, technical proposals, and contract documentation.
    • Experience managing and/or responding to solicitations such as RFPs, RFIs, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Performance Work Statements (PWSs).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Understanding of software development life cycle, system architectures, and technical development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
    • Familiarity with cloud computing, enterprise systems, AI/ML, and real-time data fusion technologies.
    • Ability to discuss technical architectures, data flows, and integration approaches with engineers and generate compelling proposal narratives.
  • Communication and Writing Skills:
  • Proven experience building relationships with federal and/or commercial clients
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences.
    • High attention to detail and ability to produce error-free work under tight deadlines.
    • Ability to synthesize technical information from multiple sources and present it in a cohesive, persuasive manner.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Experience editing and reviewing technical content for clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Additional Skills (Preferred):
    • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, and foreign military proposals.
    • Familiarity with government contract regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.).
    • Experience incorporating visual elements (technical diagrams, data flow charts) into proposals.
    • Experience communicating needs in both Unclassified and Classified spaces.
    • Familiarity with capture and proposal management tools (e.g., Deltek, Aconex, GovWin, or similar).
