Job Summary
LMI is seeking a senior consultant focusing on contract and acquisition strategy to support our corporate markets & growth organization. The selected candidate will support a broad mix of functions to include internal contract strategy for new and existing programs as well as support project teams when strategy expertise is needed. This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a blend of government contracts and pricing, business development, proposal development, and critical thinking skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of government contracting opportunities and trends.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure government contracts.
- Monitor and gather intelligence on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely submissions.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, key officials, and industry partners.
- Represent the organization at relevant government and industry meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Work with legal, contracts, and pricing teams to mitigate risks and address any contract-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Regularly perform contract and acquisition research to remain current on changes to FAR, various FAR Supplements, laws, and policies.
- Research and assess market conditions to determine the suitability of offerings to meet client requirements.
- Develop and conduct training sessions to educate on contract and acquisition topics.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting, procurement, or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, pricing and policy
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Prior experience having an Unlimited Contracting Warrant
- Ability to develop and deliver briefings on complex topics tailored to a range of audiences
- Bachelors degree
