Ideal candidates are Punctual, Professional, Reliable, and hard working. Expect to work up to 6 days a week and 10 hours a day for extended periods. Federal holidays are observed.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:
- Be assigned direct reporting of all Level 1 and 2 team members in assigned supervisory organization, including, but not limited to: timecard approval; training requirement management, etc.
- Provide input to Project Engineer for hiring of new team members
- Provide performance feedback for direct reports to Project Engineer
- Manage training matrix for assigned team; provide recommendations for training renewals to Project Engineer
- Stand in for Project Engineer during times of absence or non-availability
- Assist Project Engineer with management of project personnel, administrative needs, reporting, planning and execution of installations.
- Oversee Subcontractors in the performance of their contractual requirements.
- Ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Assist OSIC with managing installation milestones.
- Properly convey scheduling, potential conflict, needs and job progress to customer.
- Work with OSIC to manage prime-contractor requirements, schedule and to de-conflict any potential issues.
- Help OSIC with ship's force interaction and scheduling of required ship’s force actions.
- Maintain proper documentation in all aspects of the job.
- Ensure customer, project team, ship's force and team meets prime contractor requirements and regulations.
- Ensure customer interaction with install team remains within contractual and NAVSEA Standard Item guidelines.
- Interact on a regular basis with the customer, and speak knowledgeably and reliably in order to field customer questions and concerns, in order to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
- Understand and adhere to TUMS and ILC tag-out/lock-out program requirements.
- Take responsibility for safety of personnel, ship's force, and equipment.
- Be proficient in the use of ESOMS.
- Maintain and track documentation of electrical safety.
- Work with WAF coordinator to accomplish tasking.
- Maintain proper documentation and tracking of QA manual.
- Schedule, coordinate, and participate in and document V-Level, I-Level and G-Level inspections.
- Assist on-site QA Inspector in performing and documenting daily duties.
- Interface with on-site QA Inspector about on-board, in-process discrepancies and ensure they are corrected.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Requires Lift and carry 50lbs.
- Ascend and descend ladders on board a ship.
- Operate and own basic hand tools to be used on ship.
- Work from ladders and reach into the overhead to perform cable installation and removal as well as banding.
- Wear proper PPE (hardhat, safety glasses, steel toes at all times).
- Work required overtime to include weekends at times.
- Interact in a professional manner with coworkers and other individuals on the task.
- Comply with all local and specific shipyard safety and general rules.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable way to get to work on time every day as required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:
- OSHA 10
- VSRA
- Previous shipyard experience
- Microsoft Project proficiency
- Fiber optic certifications
- Connector qualified
Clearance Required:
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
