Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role
Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of software assets across USSOCOM's IT Enterprise, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing software usage, and mitigating risks.

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of software assets across USSOCOM's IT Enterprise, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing software usage, and mitigating risks.
- Monitor and manage multiple data repositories for tracking software licensing metadata and support agreements.
- Track licenses, maintenance plans, renewal information, and media for software.
- Identify license compliance issues and coordinate resolutions.
- Perform periodic audits to reconcile licenses utilized with authorized licenses.
- Conduct periodic license reviews 120 days prior to the expiration of software license and maintenance agreements.
- Report exceptions to vendor terms and conditions, including license non-compliance, to the Software Manager.
- Maintain warranty and maintenance coverage for software, including contractor-purchased and Government-purchased items.
- Provide monthly reports on the status of license expirations.
- Advise the Software Manager on software acquisition and discontinuation decisions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with software license compliance.
- Recommend licenses adjustments base on usage data.
- Support the development and maintenance of approved policies and procedures for effective software asset lifecycle management.
- Develop and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of software asset management processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA, 7 Years with AS/AA or 9 years with HS
- A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
- DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise-wide software license agreements, maintenance plans, and vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting software usage trends and mitigating software-related risks.
- Experience with USSOCOM's IT systems and operational environments.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) software licensing policies and procedures.
