This role is responsible for managing software asset lifecycles, coordinating renewals, and supporting procurement activities to ensure compliance and operational continuity.

Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Software Asset Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base. This role is responsible for managing software asset lifecycles, coordinating renewals, and supporting procurement activities to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:
- Maintain software standards, validate product inventories, and track maintenance contracts in the asset management database.
- Use Software Asset Management (SAM) tools to identify, manage, and audit all software within each enclave.
- Assist technical teams in approving, deploying, updating, and removing software products across user systems.
- Process software application requests, ensuring they move efficiently through the internal approval and procurement pipeline.
- Monitor software maintenance and support renewal schedules across the task order customer base.
- Coordinate maintenance and renewal efforts from proposal through execution.
- Collaborate with the CLAW renewal manager on Bill of Materials (BOM) development.
- Work with Control Account Managers (CAM) and Earned Value Analysts (EV) on budget requirements.
- Track and monitor Purchase Requests (PRs) related to task order renewals and enterprise contract agreements.
- Support interactions between the renewal manager, buyers, and procurement teams.
- Provide vendor communication support, assist with quote questions, and ensure timely order processing.
- Update Program Control on procurement status and assist with material receipt and issue resolution as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have 2 or more years of directly related experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain an interim within 3 months
Desired Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in management or leadership roles
- Working knowledge of common IT software titles and their functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with supply chain or procurement processes
Compensation:
Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
