Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Planning Administration Specialist to support the Planning Section Chief by managing administrative and clerical functions. This role involves maintaining accurate records, organizing information, supporting planning meetings, and ensuring timely communication across planning teams during emergency response operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Planning Section Chief in administrative and clerical tasks
- Maintain planning-related records and documentation
- Support the acquisition and prioritization of planning information
- Take notes and prepare summaries during planning meetings
- Ensure the organization and accessibility of planning documents and materials
- Coordinate with other sections to facilitate effective information sharing
- Support the documentation of Incident Action Plans and situational updates
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of work experience in an administrative support role within emergency management
- Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage time-sensitive documentation under pressure
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with emergency planning documentation and ICS forms
- Experience with WebEOC or similar emergency management tools
- Experience supporting planning sections during federally declared disasters
