Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Technical Specialist to support aerial operations by providing technical assistance to the UAS Pilot in Command. The role includes managing data recording equipment and software, transmitting data and live feeds to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), and maintaining secure communications and data custody protocols.

Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Technical Specialist to support aerial operations by providing technical assistance to the UAS Pilot in Command. The role includes managing data recording equipment and software, transmitting data and live feeds to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), and maintaining secure communications and data custody protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the UAS Pilot in Command during missions
- Manage data recording equipment and mission-related software
- Transmit data and live video feeds to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC)
- Manage and monitor communications systems and operating frequencies
- Ensure secure documentation and adherence to chain of custody protocols
- Maintain technical logs, mission reports, and operational data as required
- Coordinate with SERT partners for data dissemination and situational reporting
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in a technical support role for unmanned aircraft systems
- Experience with UAS data management systems and communication technologies
- Familiarity with FAA guidelines for UAS operations
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting UAS operations in emergency or disaster response settings
- Certification in UAS operation or technical support
- Experience using GIS or mapping software
