Hybrid Cloud Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

OSAAVA Services is looking for a talented Hybrid Cloud Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This position requires an individual with a strong background in cloud engineering, automation, and hybrid cloud strategies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud environments, open-source scripting, and system monitoring in a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, deploy, and automate cloud environments with a primary focus on hybrid cloud strategies.
Support program requirements by developing open-source scripts using languages like Python or Java.
Develop automation tools and scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability and performance.
Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related technical issues.
Recommend functional approaches for new applications and services in the cloud environment.
Provide input on enhancements to existing cloud products and features, ensuring the integration of new technologies.
Qualifications:
5+ years of direct experience in cloud engineering.
Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python or Java.
Experience developing automation tools using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Experience with DoD cybersecurity standards and practices.
Familiarity with DoD Accreditation Processes and working in SCIF environments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with customer solutions teams and architects.
IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) required within 60 days of hire.
Ability to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with AWS GovCloud and managing government-specific cloud environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
