KBR is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the Counter Unmanned Systems (CUxS) program. This role will be instrumental in supporting the installation, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of CUxS systems located at Webster Field and various CONUS/OCONUS sites. The technician will work alongside military and civilian personnel to identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring continuous operational readiness of fielded systems.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination and execution of new system installations and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of existing CUxS systems.
  • Assist with the testing and evaluation of CUxS equipment at Webster Field and at multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Provide technical support for system design, integration, installation testing, and troubleshooting of CUxS and related subsystems.
  • Prepare and operate test equipment, record test data, and generate comprehensive test reports.
  • Develop or review system schematics, electrical drawings, parts lists, and specifications to support installation and integration efforts.
  • Construct experimental or prototype models and conduct iterative testing and modifications as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electronics, including servers, RF antennas, network switches, power supplies, and related enclosures.
  • Collaborate with Navy stakeholders and operators to resolve technical issues, identify outages, and implement corrective actions.
  • Travel frequently to support deployments, maintenance, and installations in both domestic and international locations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering) OR High School diploma/GED with additional experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electronic Warfare, UAS operations, RF systems, radar, or CUxS) OR 12+ years of experience with a high school diploma/GED.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with RF systems, electronics integration, and system-level troubleshooting.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Group 1, 2, and 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
  • Experience supporting Navy entities such as NAVFAC, N6, BCO, Physical Security, and CNIC.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience with installation and maintenance of shore-based EW or CUxS systems.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% to CONUS and OCONUS sites.

This is an SCA position. SCA Rate: $39.50/HR.
