Network Engineer (Top Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support a cutting-edge, multi-domain command and control initiative within the Department of Defense on-site in Hampton, VA . The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in routing, switching, and secure network architecture, and be passionate about enabling real-time data sharing across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:

• Design and develop voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex network issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training on network equipment and protocols.
• Define network specifications, input/output processes, and hardware/software compatibility.
• Lead or support special projects and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, including data center, virtualization, and automation techniques.

Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:

• Bachelors of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
• 20+ years of related network engineering experience.
• Expertise in routing and switching protocols.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS software and hardware.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast.
• Experience with VoIP and collaboration systems.
• Familiarity with data center environments, virtualization, and automation.
• Must possess a current CCNA certification.
• Must meet DoD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT Level II access.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government TS with SCI eligibility.

Compensation for the Network Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000+ *depending on experience*
