Personnel Security Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to join the US Space Force located in El Segundo, CA through 100% full onsite presence . The Personnel Security Specialist will play a critical role in safeguarding national security by managing sensitive clearance processes and supporting Special Access Programs.

Responsibilities of the Personnel Security Specialist include:

• Manage personnel security (PERSEC) processes, including preparing & maintaining security packages for Special Access Programs (SAPs)
• Support the development and review of security plans & procedures across multiple domains: Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, COMSEC, and Program Security
• Utilize security systems of record such as DISS, JADE, and legacy JPAS to track and process clearance-related data
• Assist with facility and network security actions, inspections, and daily operational security activities
• Ensure compliance with federal security guidelines and support audits and readiness assessments
• Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to maintain a secure environment for sensitive space defense operations

Qualifications of the Personnel Security Specialist include:

• 10+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree; or 14+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience with Personnel Security (PERSEC), including processing and maintaining security clearance packages
• Experience with Physical Security protocols and procedures, supporting facility & networking security actions
• Familiarity with security systems of record (DISS, JADE, or legacy JPAS databases)
• Experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAPs)
• Active Top Secret Clearance; in scope SSBI/T5 background investigation (willing to take polygraph)

Compensation for the Personnel Security Specialist includes:

• Salary Range: $120,000-135,000 **depending on experience**
