SCITLS SMPES Integration Lead Software Engineer

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

SMPES INTEGRATION LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER

• Leads software engineering and development efforts for the integration of six separate program systems into the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES).
• Oversees the other SMPES software developers.
• Uses industry- and Government-best practices for secure software design and development methodologies to ensure that applications placed into a production environment conform to SMPES requirements.
• Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Supports Agile processes and implements Agile standards.
• Continuously assesses and optimizes the performance of processes within the SMPES enterprise, including the path and process by which capabilities and SMPES applications are introduced into the production environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• BA/BS or equivalent, 10+ years of experience
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; GCLD or GSEC or CSSLP
• Location: Offutt AFB, NE
