Role Overview: Systems Integration Designer

* As a Systems Integration Designer, your primary focus will be on system administration rather than software development. This includes maintaining and enhancing Teamcenter and S1000D content systems, along with the Common Source Database (CSDB). You'll work with established processes and automation-editing and administering them as needed to ensure ongoing supportability and data accuracy.
* This is not a technical writing role-instead, we are looking for someone who can administer complex databases and understands how code integrates with export and automation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the administration, configuration, and upkeep of Teamcenter, S1000D systems, and the CSDB.
* Modify and maintain existing processes and automation routines, ensuring alignment with operational standards.
* Monitor system performance, apply patches, and recommend enhancements for database and application server integration.
* Develop and maintain internal databases and reporting tools to track metrics, system health, and workflow efficiency.
* Design lightweight automated interfaces to reduce training burdens and enhance usability of systems for internal teams.
* Assess workflows to streamline operations and integrate improvements using existing enterprise IT solutions.
* Evaluate and integrate new hardware/software tools as needed, document work within platforms like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners/vendors to ensure system reliability and data compatibility.
* Support ETL processes and export functions that simplify data delivery and resource tracking.
* Diagnose and resolve system-level issues (software/hardware), coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.

Technical Skills & Tools

* Comfortable with understanding and editing code involved in system automation and integration (though not heavy development).
* Experience with tools such as:

* Visual Studio (.NET 2003-2022), Python, Jupyter, Java, VB, SQL, Oracle, XML, HTML, Microsoft Power Platform, SLIC, Wave, Power Apps

* Understanding database architecture, scripting, and version control practices.
* Familiarity with Windows and Unix operating environments.
* Background in Logistics Support Analysis and related technical disciplines is a plus.
* Experience with LCMS platforms and simulation development tools (e.g., Flash ActionScript, Director) is desirable.

Qualifications:

* MUST be a US Citizen
* Bachelor's degree required.
* 5+ years of combined experience in S1000D technical content management and Teamcenter systems administration.
* Prior experience administering the Common Source Database (CSDB) or similar systems preferred.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
* Strong ability to understand existing automation and integration code and make effective modifications.
