Scrum Master
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach team members on Agile practices and principles to improve team effectiveness and maturity
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure clarity and prioritization of the product backlog
• Actively identify, track, and help remove team impediments and organizational blockers
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Track and communicate key Agile metrics such as velocity, team capacity, and sprint burndown
• Support cross-team coordination and help manage dependencies with other teams and stakeholders
• Promote Agile best practices, tailoring them as needed to meet team and project goals

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile environments, with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and guiding teams through sprints
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or VersionOne
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Demonstrated experience in helping teams identify and resolve impediments
• If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Product Owner
Key Responsibilities:
• Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring development teams deliver solutions that align with user needs and mission requirements.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, writing clear, actionable user stories, and prioritizing based on business value and stakeholder input.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and product demos.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps to drive alignment and execution.
• Engage with multiple stakeholder groups across the DoD or federal agencies to balance competing priorities.
• Translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into digestible product goals and development tasks.
• Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and version control systems to manage workstreams and document progress.
Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Proxy Product Owner in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality, scalable products in fast-paced and regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile product management practices including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, story writing, and backlog prioritization.
• Experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups in technical or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and version control platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on government programs or in highly regulated industries (e.g., DoD, DHS, FAA).
• SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)) or equivalent Agile certification.
