Position Title: Senior Software Engineer (Java)
Location Information: Leawood, KS (hybrid) or Arlington, VA (mostly remote)
Position Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Engineer (Java), you will be instrumental in developing scalable software solutions for Torch.AI’s platform across various customer programs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, your role involves designing and implementing back-end data orchestration and intelligence products to meet customer needs.
Essential Skills, Experience:
Designing and developing Java backend services utilizing Spring Boot, Micronaut, and related ecosystems.
Leading RESTful API development, service layers, and system integrations.
Experience with cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including S3, EC2, and managed databases.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
Guiding CI/CD processes, managing build tooling with Maven or Gradle.
Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices adherence.
Collaborating with cloud infrastructure teams for seamless service deployments.
Contributing to technical documentation, specifications, and planning efforts.
Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and convey complex technical concepts effectively.
