Job Title: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician – FAA Flight Program Operations
Location: Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK
Clearance: Required FAA background investigation
Summary:
FAA Flight Program Operations is seeking experienced A&P Technicians to maintain and repair a fleet of Beechcraft 300, C90 GTi, and Challenger 600 series aircraft used in nationwide Flight Inspection missions. Work in a 14 CFR Part 135 and Part 145 environment ensuring safety, compliance, and airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, modification, installation, calibration, and testing of aircraft airframe and powerplant systems.
• Verify installations meet FAA, OEM, and Flight Program Operations standards.
• Determine aircraft airworthiness under mission-specific certificates.
• Use specialized tools and test equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers, oscilloscopes) to maintain and repair components.
• Interpret technical manuals, maintenance publications, and FAA regulations.
• Support mission requirements, including occasional travel for AOG/emergency repairs within CONUS.
• Work across multiple shifts, including weekends, as mission schedules require.
Required Qualifications:
• Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a Part 121, 135, or 145 organization.
• Experience maintaining aircraft such as Beechcraft 300, C90 GTi, or Challenger series preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAA airworthiness regulations, OEM specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work variable shifts
