Supports Mission Contract Management Office. Provide administrative and clerical assistance as well as guidance on direction, utilization and disposal, inventory management, and personal property management to the Property Management Advisor at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad Iraq. Property is located at the Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC), Union III, and the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC).

Estimated Starting Salary Range for GENERAL SERVICES ASSISTANT (CMO): Pay commensurate with experience.

GENERAL SERVICES ASSISTANT (CMO) Responsibilities Include:

Oversees and participates in physical inventories associated but not limited to the transfer of Government Furnished Property (GFP) for the duration of the task order operations and close out. Primary duties will be assisting to coordinate the transfer of GFP from the current OMSS and BLiSS contracts to the new DiPPS task orders and any related, ancillary duties.

Researches and assists monitoring activities of contractor assigned property control personnel; participates in developing program/project plans and budgets; develops and recommends asset management policies and procedures.

Helps the Property Management Advisor and Property Administrator plan, organize and implement work activities to meet established property control objectives; contributes to Department of State property control program and project compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory agency requirements.

Assists in the oversight of Contractor Acquired Property (CAP); participates in the formulation of development concepts; analyzes opportunities and constraints for alternative property procurement and control scenarios; supports multiple stakeholders on development of property control procedures and accountability measures; works with assigned team to ensure mission goals are achieved in a timely manner; monitors and reports on property status and budgetary impacts.

Conducts or participates in property transactions; prepares requests for transfers; prepares and administers disposal documentation for damaged, aged or worn property; performs analytical research of contractor reports and performs physical inspections to ensure that USG property is being maintained in order to obtain full life cycle expectancy.

Ensures that reports for lost, missing, or damaged (beyond normal wear and tear) items are properly and promptly reported to the Department of State in a timely manner, in the proper format.

At the direction of the Department of State Property Administrator, coordinates with and provides asset management information/assistance to other USG departments and outside agencies/organizations; responds to a variety of property inquiries from internal and external sources; represents the department in meetings with departments, contractors, consultants and officials from other agencies.

GENERAL SERVICES ASSISTANT (CMO) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years' experience working with USG acquisition processes and property control procedures, or High School diploma and 6 years' experience working with USG acquisition processes and property control procedures.

• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.

• Extremely flexible - able to constantly prioritize/reassess multi-functional position.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

• Level 5/5 in English is required.
