Skills Requirements:
As an ISSE, you’ll help shape secure systems and architectures that protect sensitive data across multiple environments.
Primary Responsibilities
· Participate as the primary security engineering representative on teams designing, developing, implementing, and integrating secure networking, computing, and enclave systems.
· Conduct technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with IA regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
· Apply knowledge of IA policies and RMF processes to support security planning, risk analysis, and authorization activities.
· Support the enforcement of trusted relationships across external systems and architectures, ensuring consistent application of agency security policies.
· Develop and validate system security requirements, contributing to secure system design and implementation across multiple enclaves and classification levels.
· Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation for completeness and compliance, providing expert feedback to stakeholders.
· Recommend system-level security solutions and contribute to the development of enterprise-wide security architectures.
Basic Qualifications
· 14+ years of Information Security experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field OR 18+ years of directly related information security experience without a degree
· Active IASAE Level II certification (CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CSSLP)
· Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with FS Polygraph is required
