Overview
The Ascendancy Group is seeking a highly qualified cyber operations planner to support strategic and operational planning efforts within USCENTCOM. This role integrates cyberspace operations into full-spectrum DoD planning and requires deep expertise in offensive and defensive cyber operations, policy coordination, and joint planning processes. The ideal candidate will possess advanced certifications, specialized training, and hands-on experience in high-level cyber planning environments.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Security Requirement: A Top-Secret/SCI Clearance is required
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide subject matter expertise on Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations during strategic and operational planning
• Participate in USCENTCOM planning teams to integrate cyberspace operations into full-spectrum DoD planning
• Includes OPLAN development, surveillance/reconnaissance, Operational Preparation of the Environment, Defend/Deter/Deny, Targeting/Fires/Strike
• Coordinate cyber plans, policies, and requirements with OSD, Joint Staff, USCYBERCOM, Services, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with the J3-Joint Cyber Center to develop and integrate command cyber plans, policies, and capability requirements
• Conduct Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations planning to support Cyberspace Operations
• Enable Information Operations through cyber planning, including MISO, Electronic Warfare, Deception, and Special Technical Operations
• Support Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational planning efforts
• Includes crisis action, deliberate, contingency, and global campaign planning
• Provide expertise on Staff Action Officer duties for coordination and deconfliction of DoD plans and operations
• Coordinate with USCENTCOM J6 planners to reduce overlap and resolve conceptual conflicts
Position Requirements:
• Certification in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.01M at Level 1 or higher
• Graduate of the Joint Information/Cyberspace Operations Planner Course
• 3+ years of cyber planning experience in a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters, NSA, or USCYBERCOM
• Strong understanding of Joint Planning Processes and Cyber Operations doctrine
• Ability to work across multiple agencies and command structures
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Experience with strategic-level policy development and operational integration
