Description

Markon is seeking a Facility Manager to support one of our Intelligence Community customers at a major campus in Huntsville, Alabama. This individual will assist the government with facility management, requirements development, stakeholder engagement, and status reporting for the Facilities Management enterprise. The facility manager must be proficient in site and building operations, physical security construction, leading teams from a variety of organizations, coordinat ing with p roject m anagers in developing project requirement , represent the facility as part of the project management team and monitoring/reporting project status. The facility manager shall be highly skilled in customer service, competent in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications, and knowledgeable in standard construction industry practices. The facility manager shall assist the project managers in review ing contractor proposals and provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of the facility to locate and report deficiencies
  • Develop facilities equipment life-cycle replacement plans and process warranty claims
  • Execute q uality a ssurance activities in support of the preventive maintenance plan and overall sustainment of the government facilities
  • Oversee the completion of service orders and provide weekly updates in the government's service order system of record
  • Collect requirements, assist in the development of scopes of work
  • Assist the Contracting Officer and COTR with acquisition planning, execution, and administration
  • Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits
  • Conduct technical review and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change request s
  • Assist in design projects and review designs submitted for changes to g overnment facilities
  • Assist the project manager in o versee ing short-term and long-term construction projects within the customer site to ensure the completion of projects as per construction drawings, approved permits, and all safety regulations
  • Assist in the r eview and approve of shop drawings and submittals
  • Assist the project manager in c reat ing , distribut ing , and maintain ing all transmittal documents
  • Assist the project manager to i ntegrate and coordinate projects with field personnel
  • Assist the project manager in c onduct ing construction inspections ensuring conformance with design specifications & building codes
  • Prepare and distribute project communication (including official weekly status reports) with customers, management, integrated project teams and stakeholders at the local facility level
  • Host Utility Assistance Request (UAR) meetings between stakeholders and the general contractors to accommodate building outages
  • Assist the project manager to c onduct/ a pprove punch-list items prior to property turnover


Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Facility Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Highly skilled in customer service and diverse stakeholder engagement
  • Competent in reading and understanding construction drawings/specifications and knowledgeable in standard construction industry practices


Desired:
  • IFMA or BOMI certification preferred
  • Experience with commercial CMMS software
  • HVAC, Civil, or Electrical Engineering background


Salary Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
