Job Description:
* The Integrated Missile Defense Technology Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the nation's missile defense system.
* This system is currently being developed to defend the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks.
* This group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with contractors and government program offices building the missile defense elements and components.
* The group has a need for a Software Engineer to support projects in machine learning, advanced autonomy algorithms, mission planning, and their accompanying software stacks.
* The work is executed in small multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and software developers.
Responsibilities:
* Develop production-quality python and C/C++ code in conjunction with a team of other engineers and scientists to advance the state of the art in machine learning and autonomy algorithms.
* Design, develop, improve, and maintain various software components and tools that interact with existing hardware and simulation systems.
Required Skills:
