Job Summary:

The Candidate will be supporting USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs oversight of the development, implementation and evaluation of information system security program policy; with a special emphasis placed upon integration of existing SAP network infrastructures.
  • Develops and oversees operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines of network security, based upon the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Advises USSTRATCOM on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues.
  • Manages systems and RMF packages within eMASS and XACTA
  • Performs risk assessments and make recommendations to USSTRATCOM. Develops and maintains a formal Information Systems Security Program. Develops policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, to include investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ yrs ISSM experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • One of CGRC, CASP+, CCISO, CCSP, CISM, CISSP, Cloud+ or SSCP
  • Security clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility required).

Position Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
  • Must possess a current DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • IAT Level II required
  • Experience working Assessment and Authorization documents, assessments and Cybersecurity program tasks.
  • Experience in a full range of IT security principles, including:
  • Concepts, practices, products, and services (including system software, database software and immediate access storage technology)
  • Disseminating IT security tools and procedures
  • IT security certification and accreditation requirements
  • Familiar with and use Active Directory tools to manage accounts
  • Familiar with imaging computers and upgrading operating systems
  • Familiar with using scanning tools to scan and subsequently patch devices
  • Familiar with trouble ticketing tools such as Remedy
  • Be able to remotely log in to computers as needed for maintenance
  • Be able to add and remove computers to domains
  • Be able to assign and remove security controls to user accounts
  • Be able to perform all Security Plus (Security+) type functions
  • Be able to work independently and/or with a team
  • Be familiar with and be able to modify file servers and shared permissions
  • Must have the ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions and solve a variety of security problems
  • Should have a thorough understanding of their respective position, functions, and duties and will assist USAF and other government agencies in the creation and development of SSO documents, PowerPoint presentations, formal messages, background papers, and items of interest, staff summary packages, and other administrative tasks as necessary
  • Two (2) years of experience with AF and IC plans and policies highly desired.

Education:

Master's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or (as a substitute to the master's degree) a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 15 years.
