Internal Controls and Assurance Manager (5192)

Three Saints Bay, LLC , a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Internal Controls and Assurance Manager to join our Team in Manassas, Virginia.

Position Overview:

This role will support our subsidiary companies in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of internal control systems and financial reporting processes. This role will be instrumental in leading risk assessments, managing internal control evaluations, and providing assurance activities to maintain compliance with applicable federal standards.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal control frameworks across financial, functional, and operational processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, or gaps.
• Coordinate and execute internal control testing activities
• Manage documentation and walkthroughs for processes and systems.
• Prepare internal control reports, findings, and recommendations for management.
• Provide guidance and training to client teams and stakeholders on internal control best practices.
• Monitor corrective action plans and assist and validate implementation of remediation steps.
• Assist with the creation or modification of internal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Project Control, Contracts, IT, Human Resources and Management.
• May assist with external audits, providing timely support and responses to inquiries.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting needed for assurance purposes as well as miscellaneous special projects.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalentexperience required
• 7+ years of Finance, Internal Controls, Auditing, or Risk Management experience
• Deltek CostPoint Project Control Experience is required
• Experience with FAR and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Understanding of revenue recognition concepts
• Must be detail oriented and able to work within specified deadlines
• Strong personal computer skills, including detailed working knowledge of Excel capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requirements
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Clear ability to take ownership of issues and pursue potential resolutions through to completion
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment
