Develop, evaluate, and improve software for FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) specific to SPN-41B and FRN-49 systems.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform tasks with little to no guidance.
• Develop software for embedded FPGA systems for Government programs.
• Evaluate vendor provided recommendations for requirements, functionality, and testing.
• Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to evaluate and recommend software solutions, best practices, and clarify requirements.
Required Skills:
• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• At least 5 years of experience applying systems engineering practices to development programs.
• Experience with XIlinx ISE project files with target FPGA chip XC4VLX25-10SFG363.
• Experience using software tools to develop logic and control programs for FPGAs.
• Familiarity with software interfaces via Ethernet and ARINC connections.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, experienced team member, ability to work closely with multiple diverse teams simultaneously, and the drive to contribute to program success.
• Ability to work independently, or in a multi-discipline team.
• Desire and ability to leverage lessons learned by evaluating processes and solutions/conclusions from previous efforts.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with air traffic control systems or radars.
• Experience with SPN-41B or FRN-49 radar systems.
• Familiarity with DoD and NAVAIR acquisition processes and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.
