Location: Onsite in Reston, VA (10803 Park Ridge Blvd, Reston, VA 20191)
Future Office Relocation: Ft. Belvoir or McLean by March 2026 (Candidates must be willing to work onsite at either location)
Security Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
Core Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST (flexible to complete an 8-hour workday)

Job Responsibilities
-Utilize GPU hardware to test and develop open-source data models for high-volume environments.
-Integrate external models (e.g., Happyface) into secure networks for real-time experimentation and deployment.
-Apply advanced models for data cleaning, summarization, question answering, and NLP tailored to client use cases.
-Evaluate model performance and determine production readiness based on testing and client objectives.
-Collaborate with application developers to build end-user applications around validated models, ensuring integration with endpoints and data pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
-Active TS/SCI security clearance
-Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in applied data science or ML roles using Python
-3+ years in data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining
-Experience with production systems, data lakes, and streaming data (Kafka is a plus)
-Proven ability to implement end-to-end ML workflows
-Quick learner of infrastructure and pipeline interfaces
-Skilled in designing and iterating ML models for document classification, extraction, summarization, and search
-Ownership of data science workflows interacting with production systems handling millions of documents weekly
Preferred Skills & Experience
-DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification (Highly preferred; must obtain within 6 months)
-Experience with NLP or LLM implementation
-Hands-on Kubernetes experience (e.g., containerizing dependencies)
-Collaboration with MLOps and infrastructure engineers for model deployment and monitoring
-Support for platform components like document indexing, GPU workloads, and distributed storage (e.g., Cloudera)
-Algorithm development using R, Python, SQL, or NoSQL
-Experience with distributed computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL)
-Visualization experience with Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
