Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Design and develop relational databases.
- Write and optimize SQL Queries, including CRUD operations.
- Provide database to application integration.
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SQL Server software and related products.
- Ensure that data is accurately and efficiently moved between systems and that it is properly formatted and stored.
- Document configuration changes, current configurations, DBA activities, future plans, server activities, and standards.
- Inform IT management of system conditions and future needs.
- Responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database.
- Ensure the security of the database, including auditing, configuring security settings, and documenting security measures to protect the data from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Assist in maintaining corporate network services, features, and capabilities.
- Assist in maintaining existing and future government cloud platforms including Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) environment in support of Department of Defense (DoD) cloud programs.
- Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of network platforms in existing multi-tenant on premises and cloud/virtualized platforms.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, support staff, management and other systems departments on internal, cloud, and hybrid initiatives.
- Participates in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of local databases and network infrastructure within complex local and global environments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technology discipline or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Cloud+, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in support and maintenance of complex network environment including cloud-based network segmentation/security appliances.
- Knowledge of IT Security policies as they pertain to NIST 800.171 and Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM).
- Knowledge of SQL Database optimization, data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
- Knowledge of Network Services such as DNS, IPAM, (S)FTP, TFTP, LDAP, SMTP, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Monitoring tools using SNMP, Netflow, and Syslog.
- Knowledge of 802.1x and certificates.
- Innovation/creativity, managing/working with others, project/process management, accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability.
- Learn and adopt best practices in Network Management.
- Ability to interface well with CAE users and customers at all levels.
- Ability to interface and work well with CAE Global IT Administrators.

Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or IBM Certified: Database Associate
- Security+ and Cloud+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and CompTIA Network+.
- CCNP Cloud, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- Knowledge and experience supporting a Microsoft Windows network.
Security Responsibilities
- Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
- Must be able to work overtime, on and off-shifts as required.
- Duties performed in an office environment.
- The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.
