Position Overview
RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) III to provide cybersecurity engineering and support services for the U.S. Navy in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the security posture of Navy information systems, supporting risk management activities, and implementing robust security controls to safeguard mission-critical assets.

Position Overview
RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) III to provide cybersecurity engineering and support services for the U.S. Navy in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the security posture of Navy information systems, supporting risk management activities, and implementing robust security controls to safeguard mission-critical assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity engineering expertise throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Capture, analyze, and refine information security operational and security requirements to ensure system compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity standards.
- Develop, document, and maintain system security plans, security assessment reports, and other artifacts required under RMF (Risk Management Framework).
- Evaluate, implement, and validate security controls, configuration changes, and software/hardware updates and patches.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, remediation, and continuous monitoring to maintain system accreditation.
- Collaborate with system owners, developers, and network engineers to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Support A&A (Assessment & Authorization) processes and ensure that systems meet required DoD and NIST compliance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Active Secret Clearance (must be current and verifiable).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related STEM discipline from an accredited institution.
- Seven (7) years of professional experience in:
- Capturing and refining information security operational and security requirements.
- Developing and implementing security controls, secure configurations, and system hardening.
- Performing vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation.
- Managing and validating configuration changes and system updates.
- In-depth understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF processes.
Must hold one of the following IAT Level III certifications (in compliance with DoD 8570.01-M):
- CASP+ CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP
- GCED
- GCIH
- CCSP
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy or DoD cybersecurity programs.
- Familiarity with eMASS, ACAS, and STIG compliance tools.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
