This job is looking for a highly experienced structural designer who can independently create and check complex steel and concrete designs using Tekla software.
Here’s the kind of person we need:
🧱 A senior-level structural designer (not just a drafter) who understands how buildings and infrastructure are put together—especially steel and concrete structures.
💻 Tekla expert — someone who uses Tekla to model, detail, and produce drawings for steel and reinforced concrete.
🧠 Experienced and independent — can take a design concept from engineers and turn it into full drawings and construction documents with little supervision.
🤝 Good communicator and coordinator — can work with engineers, clients, and vendors to make sure designs are accurate and buildable.
🏗️ Understands construction methods and codes — especially ACI, steel detailing standards, and BIM processes.
📐 8–10+ years of hands-on experience doing structural design/drafting for large or complex projects.
🔒 (Bonus) Has security clearance or experience with DOD/USACE projects.
