This role bridges the gap between business users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are accurately captured, communicated, and implemented in alignment with client goals.
What You'll Do
As a Business Functional Lead, you will:
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements to guide project development.
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure quality outcomes.
- Manage JIRA ticketing processes, backlog prioritization, and sprint coordination.
- Facilitate client communications and status reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborate with developers and system owners to validate system functionality and user requirements.
- Support implementation activities and post-deployment reviews.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Schedule, Salary & Shift Details
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; support during East Coast business hours
- Salary: 120-135K
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required (Dual Citizens acceptable)
- Public Trust clearance required or higher
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, functional management, or project coordination
- Demonstrated experience with:
- JIRA Ticketing - 3-5 years
- Business Requirements Gathering - 3-5 years
- Client Communication & Stakeholder Engagement - 3-5 years
- PostgreSQL - 1-2 years
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - 1-2 years
