Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Execute and Oversee TEMPEST Activities & Compliance: Ensure all TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTIs), and other technical inspections, assessments, evaluations, and reviews are completed accurately and within established timeframes, adhering to National Policy and NGA CTTA requirements.
- Support the NGA TEMPEST Program: Assist the NGA Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) in implementing and managing the TEMPEST program, which includes analyzing requirements and developing processes to control or mitigate compromising emanations from NGA equipment and facilities.
- Provide Expert TEMPEST Guidance and Assistance: Offer advice and support to NGA customers by collecting necessary information for the TEMPEST mission (e.g., drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications) and assisting with online workflow requests, checklists, and Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests.
- Conduct TEMPEST Testing and Inspections: Perform VTIs and TEMPEST testing of NGA facilities, systems, and equipment, including SCIFs and PDS, as directed by the NGA CTTA.
- Represent and Report on TEMPEST Issues: Act as the NGA CTTA's representative in meetings concerning classified information processing, providing detailed assessments of TEMPEST scope, and ensuring accurate and timely TEMPEST reporting, including annual technical evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection related fields with at least 3 years in facility accreditation inspections, shielding, grounding, and Protected Distribution Systems
- National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design, Test Equipment Familiarization and Field-Testing Basics courses
Desired Qualifications:
- Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Possess advanced TEMPEST training.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a TS/SCI with the ability to pass a CI Poly
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
