Description

Vistra is seeking two Communications and Training Analysts to provide communications, training, and project support. The analyst will serve as an action officer and support the design, development, and delivery of trauma-informed training programs to equip military leaders and units to respond effectively following an event. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is able to develop clear and compelling collateral (e.g., one-pagers, leadership briefings, correspondence packages) and who can contribute to the design and delivery of training programs. This role requires flexibility, project support skills, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including military communities and subject matter experts.

This is a hybrid position, with periodic in-office meetings and participation at the Mark Center and Pentagon required.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Develop communications materials and provide graphic support (e.g., one-pagers, leadership briefings, email content) aligned with DoD style expectations
  • Provide clear verbal and written communications to a variety of stakeholders in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) style expectations, including presentations, leadership briefs, and email messages
  • Provide writing and editing services to ensure clear, active, and grammatically precise communications; some experience with APA-level editing and proper use of military terminology preferred
  • Provide meeting collaboration and facilitation support, using collaboration tools (e.g., Mural) and note-taking software
  • Assist and collaborate in performing training needs assessments and evaluations and in designing and delivering training programs
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across disciplines to ensure consistent, clear, and timely communication


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience required
  • Master's degree in instructional design, education, psychology, social work, public health, or a related behavioral or social science field preferred
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) policies, guidance, and resources related to suicide response, prevention, and postvention
  • Familiarity with the JKO knowledge management system preferred
  • Prior experience working within or in support of military communities, with fluency in military structure, culture, and language
  • Professional or academic experience supporting the design and delivery of training programs, incorporating adult learning principles and curriculum development
  • Prior experience conducting training needs assessments and evaluations
  • Knowledge or certification in Change Management or User Experience Design preferred
  • Knowledge of DoD correspondence and task management systems (e.g., CATMS) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex content clearly and empathetically to varied audiences
