We are seeking a retired U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted expert (E-7 or above) with extensive experience in strike mission planning, tactical employment, and fleet coordination to support the development of the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile - Nuclear (SLCM-N) capability. This position is critical to shaping the tactical and operational implementation of SLCM-N, bridging the gap between warfighter requirements and technical development efforts.
What You'll Do
- Provide senior-level SME support for the planning, coordination, and operational integration of the SLCM-N weapon system.
- Translate fleet-level strike planning requirements into actionable input for system developers, testers, and program leadership.
- Participate in development of strike CONOPS, TTPs, and employment doctrine relevant to submarine-launched nuclear cruise missiles.
- Support working groups, design reviews, and risk assessments to validate operational feasibility and mission alignment.
- Collaborate with fleet stakeholders, warfare centers, and acquisition offices to ensure program direction supports fleet employment timelines and readiness expectations.
- Advise on pre-mission planning workflows, targeting process integration, and strike execution best practices.
What You Bring
- Retired U.S. Navy E-7 (Chief Petty Officer) or higher.
- 10+ years of experience in submarine operations, weapons systems employment, or strike planning roles.
- Active or recently adjudicated DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred or eligible).
- Demonstrated experience supporting strike mission planning, target package coordination, or operational employment of ship/submarine-launched weapons.
- Deep understanding of nuclear weapons policy, command and control, and employment doctrine (preferred).
- Strong technical writing and briefing skills to communicate operational needs to engineering and acquisition teams.
⭐ Bonus Points For
- Experience supporting nuclear-capable weapon systems, strategic weapon programs, or joint strike planning efforts.
- Prior work with fleet strike planners, OPNAV N3/N5, PEO SUB or PEO IWS.
- Familiarity with strike planning tools, launch platform integration, and campaign-level planning scenarios.
- Participation in mission planning cells, red team assessments, or nuclear readiness evaluations.

- Travel may be required to participate in working groups, fleet coordination events, or classified test planning sessions.
- This role may be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on program needs and candidate availability.
