Senior Cloud Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a DoD federal program in the Lorton, VA area. The Senior Cloud Engineer will manage infrastructure, system health, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Serve as Enclave Administrator, managing deployment, maintenance, and application support for Mission Enclave infrastructure.
• Monitor system health and capacity, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with internal teams for resolution and escalation.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration updates.
• Collaborate with customers and mission partners to delegate application responsibilities, support planning, and ensure technical alignment with project goals.

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, with 8+ years in systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps tools such as Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, and CLI.
• Familiarity with C4 and SAP network environments, and expertise in cloud, data/AI, security, and business application implementation.
• Proven ability to self-manage workloads, maintain system health, and support applications within secure enclave environments.
• Must obtain CompTIA Security+ or higher-level certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $170,000 - $180,000 annually based on years of experience
