Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Support Equipment organization located in Ridley Park, PA. This position will have the responsibility to perform requirements analysis, investigate technical inquiries, develop estimates, and support negotiations.

A successful candidate will be a resourceful and self-motivated individual who displays intellectual curiosity while expecting and delivering results with urgency. This individual must work well under minimal supervision and general guidance and be able to integrate effectively with key stakeholders to meet program objectives. They must have a proven track record of effective team building and customer relations. The candidate will serve as a role model in describing expectations, goals, requests, or future states in a manner that provides clarity and excites interest. Must proactively seek out, provide, and concisely summarize information to achieve business and technical goals. Applicants should have demonstrable experience in interacting and when necessary leading multi-disciplined engineering teams driving safety, ensuring technical excellence, and collaborating across business units. In this position you will work closely with the program managers, contracts, estimating, supply chain, engineering, and customers to further the program.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work with our internal and external customers to identify requirements
  • Develop estimates for Support Equipment to include new designs, customer single item approvals, modification program impacts, major sales campaigns, etc.
  • Work with and manage suppliers performing a variety of work including support equipment calibration, maintenance, and fabrication
  • Work closely with Program Technical Leads and Support Equipment Integrators to enable outcomes in the areas of planning, execution, communication, and operations
  • Support customer/program meetings and proposal negotiations as required
  • Identify and track cost, schedule, and technical performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Develop schedules and integrate tasks with other IPTs
  • Define plans for technical risk mitigation and opportunity (RIO) capture
  • Ensure export requirements and export licenses are in place to support international suppliers
  • Support management in resource planning and assignments
  • Support lean initiatives, new business opportunities, and creation/standardization of metrics and dashboards
  • Standardize, develop, and document processes and procedures
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years' experience in an engineering field
  • 3+ years' experience in leading or managing complex projects
  • 3+ years' experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior leadership, customers, peers and business partners
  • Experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for 10% of the time


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices: Configuration Control Board (CCB), Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO), Performance Management, Requirements Management, Integrated master scheduling
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Experience with proposal development and contracting negotiations; proposal support experience
  • Experience in a role that required strong communication skills and working across teams to coordinate customer issues and work scope
  • Strong presentation skills and the capability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Summary Pay Range: $122,400- $165,600
