Position Summary: Provide staff level support to the processes supporting the Export Control Process.
Essential Duties:
• Receive export license requests from Department of State (DOS) and assign a tracking number based on one-up listing.
• Review the application and assign cases to P14 Government Licensing Officers (LO) based on his/her area expertise.
• Review the Dual Use Cases assign to P14 Dual Use Que and then staff appropriate dual-use cases to CEC (P414) representatives.
• Review TPT cases from various email systems and assign them to appropriate LO. Transfer documents through various systems.
• Monitor/ Process Streamlined License alias for draft ITAR License packages (NIPR)
• Maintain license files/ folders. Close out documents as required.
• Process information on Export Control Management System (ECMS).
• Create memos and provide drafts to the appropriate P14 LO for input. Send the final and signed memo to the requesting organization.
• Track, International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR) exception packages, export license applications and export license issues when warranted.
• Execute data transfer as needed.
• Author, review, and update export license processes in a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Flexibility to float temporarily to other roles in cases of emergency due to staff sickness or absenteeism
• Complete routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, scanning, maintaining and updating distribution lists.
• Draft a monthly tracking report on the number of ITAR exception letters and number of export action reviews:
The number of ITAR exception letters is estimated at 40 per month.
The number of export license applications tracked per month is estimated at 250 per month.
Requirements:
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
Qualifications:
• 4+ years preforming the duties of the position: Level C
• High School Diploma, four-year college degree preferred
• Attention to detail is also mandatory for this position.
• Interaction with other components requires a friendly, can-do attitude.
