Systems Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. This is an onsite position.

This position supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This is an opportunity to be part of a team that plays a crucial role in keeping our nation's military safe and mission successful.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing programmatic or technical knowledge by identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
• Guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems
• Employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems
• Performing software acquisition functions, requirements management, and the understanding of software workflow
• Performing software requirements broken down into systems requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years of recent and relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC as well as operate other typical office equipment (e.g. copying machine, shredder, projection systems, etc.).
• Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).
