Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Software Developer (Developer, Associate) to provide support to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R). This individual will be a UI/UX development professional who bridges the gap between design and development, creating user-friendly, visually appealing digital products by combining user interface (UI) design with user experience (UX) principles and front-end development skills. They work on the visual elements users interact with (UI) and the overall functionality and flow (UX), often using tools and languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement their designs. This role blends creative design skills with technical coding abilities to deliver cohesive and effective digital experiences.
This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with an average of 1-2 days on-site per month. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $110,000 - $130,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Lead backend development efforts using server-side programming languages and frameworks (e.g., ASP.Net, ASP.Net MVC, C#, Java), including developing and maintaining database schemas and integrating with backend systems.
- Build functional and visually appealing user interfaces with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue to deliver an optimal user experience.
- Develop, implement, and manage web applications using the Sitecore content management system, ensuring efficient content delivery and seamless system integration.
- Integrate AI tools into the software development life cycle to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues quickly, and implement solutions to improve system performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, supporting their growth and guiding them through development challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope.
- Communicate technical concepts, solutions, and challenges clearly to non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment with project objectives.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Performs all functional duties independently.
- Represent OUSD P&R with a high level of discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Adhere to a strict professional dress code (business attire required) and maintain a composed demeanor under pressure.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Pentagon or OSD experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with JSP IT systems, DTS, DISS, and OUSD internal processes
