Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Spacecraft-Systems Engineer to support a mission forward program with the US Space Force (USSF) onsite in El Segundo, CA. Our clients' investments in digital engineering and rapid technical integration will accelerate warfighting capabilities and integrate all-domain data (land, sea, air, space, cyber, and electromagnetic spectrum) that enhances situational awareness, counters adaptive threats, and keeps pace with warfighter needs.

· Pay Range: $160,000 - $210,000 (based on years of experience and education)

Responsibilities for Spacecraft-Systems Engineer:
- L ead technical requirements development, systems engineering, and oversee development contractor to develop, design, produce, integrate and test space systems.
- Oversee payload integration and interface control management.
- Perform system integration of multiple efforts to integrate complex space systems, ground segment integration, and deployment into operation.
- Manage and negotiate interface control documents with external stakeholders.
- Perform systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, interface definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and development and refinement of concepts of operation.
- Oversee requirements verification and validation.
Qualifications for Spacecraft-Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 14+ years professional experience, Master of Science degree and 12+ years of professional experience. Note: Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with technical requirements development, systems engineering, and overseeing development contractor to develop, design, produce, integrate and test space systems.
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle phases, especially in space systems development.
