Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Studio in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.
As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, managing access control points, and verifying credentials. Your visible presence will help to foster a secure atmosphere for all on site. You will interact regularly with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials in accordance with site protocols for a Tech, Media, and Telecom location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following the established procedures for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe and report irregularities, while maintaining visibility as a representative of Allied Universal.
- Document and communicate any observed security-related incidents or potential issues to the appropriate contacts, supporting the overall security-related operations at the site.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to maintain a welcoming environment while helping to deter disruptions.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
