As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrol in Gardendale, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and help to maintain order during busy periods or emergency situations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with healthcare staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid and current concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
