Raytheon - Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is seeking an Senior Administrative Specialist (Senior Coordinator, Administrator) to support our Multi-site Operations Maintenance and Engineering (OM&E) team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate high standards of professionalism and proficiency working both independently and within a team with moderate supervision and relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Work Location (100% onsite): Springfield, Virginia area

What You Will Do
  • Perform data entry and other office functions
  • Generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other material expeditiously with accuracy using Microsoft Resources and customer hosted tools and applications
  • Receive, refer and answer communications (phone, email, IMs)
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings
  • Assist leadership in a fast-paced environment
  • Gather, compile and report on assignments
  • Assist in arranging Employee Travel utilizing RTX's standard travel expense portals
  • Coordinate and host morale events
  • Maintain office operations and established policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Process and handle confidential documents and information
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite resources (Presentation, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc)
  • Experience supporting teams in a cross-functional environment
  • An active and transferable Top Secret/SCI CI Poly level U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience executing travel requests and preparing associated expense reports
  • Experience with collaborative business software (JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence)
  • Excellent customer service skills - demonstrate a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude
  • Demonstrated experience with executing assigned tasks to meet objectives
  • Effective communication/presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly come up to speed while executing efforts while building strong relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to communicate well and respond effectively and with good judgment to non-routine requests or situation

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
