As the Systems Software Architect , you will:
- Design Software Architecture: Develop and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance software architectures tailored for space-based interceptor systems within the digital engineering ecosystem.
- Integrate Engineering Tools: Seamlessly integrate digital engineering tools, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE) platforms, simulation environments, and data analysis tools, to enhance program workflows.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, scientists, and program leaders to ensure software systems align with program goals and technical requirements.
- Leverage Digital Twin Technology: Architect solutions that utilize digital twins to optimize interceptor design, testing, and operational capabilities.
- Ensure System Security: Develop architectures in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and information assurance standards.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 15 years' related experience; Master's degree preferred.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in modern architecture frameworks, cloud-based solutions, Agile environments, and integration of complex software systems.
- Experience with digital engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MATLAB, STK, or ANSYS) for model-based systems engineering and simulation.
- Working knowledge of DoD standards, including MIL-STD-881 or relevant policy directives.
- Exposure to space-based systems, orbital mechanics, and/or missile interceptor technologie
Required Security Clearance:
- Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- 5 years' prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.
